Lake of the Ozarks Real Estate News
Pat McNally was a key player in putting together the deal that brought world-class hotelier John Q. Hammons to Lake of the Ozarks.
Hammons had planned to build a major hotel and conference center in the heart of Osage Beach. To that end, with McNally's assistance, he acquired a $3 million tax increment financing agreement with the city to help fund infrastructure improvements for the $100 million project.
The project was stalled by a lawsuit ultimately rejected by the courts. In the meantime, economic conditions caused the project to be sidelined. According to Hammons Hotels corporate executives, the project will proceed when market conditions improve.
The Lake Sun Leader has an article in the front page of the weekend paper and was posted online Jan 28, 2011 @ 08:00 AM stating that representatives of John Q. Hammons have met with Osage Beach Mayor Penny Lyons and reaffirmed their intent to build the Chateau at the Lake, when economic conditions improve.
